Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions in Newtown, PA is seeking a Quality Systems Document Control Specialist to manage AS9100 based processes and document control. You will lead audits, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams both locally and abroad.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent with 5+ years of related experience, or a graduate degree with 3 years, plus deep knowledge of QMS in defense manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or graduate degree with 3 years.
• Experience implementing and maintaining a registered AS9100 QMS for manufacturing and product development.
• Experience in defense industry quality processes and documentation systems preferred.
• Knowledge of government, military, defense and/or medical device quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support AS9100 certifications and audit schedules at site.
• Create, maintain and manage audit plans; report findings and drive improvement.
• Analyze audit results and develop corrective actions with department heads.
• Provide training on quality management system requirements and best practices.
• Administer and maintain Master Control electronic Document Management System.
• Oversee creation, review, and distribution of controlled documents and manuals.
• Perform document control of engineering submittals and reviews.
• Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys) for manufacturing issues and actions.
• Support implementation of engineering changes, waivers, and substitutions.
