Job summary
Nbutexas seeks a hands-on Quality Manager to lead QA/QC in a fast-paced contract-manufacturing environment (sheet metal, CNC, welding, assembly). You will work across production floor, inspection, engineering, documentation, and leadership to strengthen the QMS and drive high-quality manufacturing.
The role emphasizes AS9100 knowledge, ITAR compliance, audits, and continuous improvement while mentoring inspectors and technicians on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality management experience in contract manufacturing.
- Strong experience with sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems.
- Working knowledge of ITAR requirements and their application to quality processes and documentation.
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T for fabricated and machined components.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, and improve the facility's QMS to AS9100 standards.
- Oversee inspection for incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and final inspection.
- Lead root‑cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain traceability, NCRs, and quality documentation with accuracy.
- Lead internal audits and support external/audit/customer visits.
