Job summary

Pen Manufacturing seeks a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to uphold AS9100 quality standards in a fast-paced sheet metal manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an AS9100-certified organization.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge; proficient with inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured products and components.
• Verify product conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMM reports.
• Review manufacturing documentation, certificates of conformity, material certifications, and inspection reports.
• Ensure AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance and internal quality procedures.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials and products; initiate corrective action as required.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues; monitor process compliance.
