Primary Responsibilities
System Administration: Perform daily administration tasks, including system monitoring, job management, and device control for IBM iSeries servers.
Performance & Security: Optimize system performance through tuning and maintenance. Implement and manage security protocols, user access, and auditing to protect data integrity.
Backup & Recovery: Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery procedures, including disaster recovery planning.
Software & Hardware Management: Install, configure, and maintain AS400 hardware, software, and networked devices. This includes applying PTFs, patches, and upgrades.
Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshoot complex issues related to the AS400 system and its applications.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including developers, to support application deployments and resolve technical challenges.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
