Head of Talent Acquisition at KayTee Innovate

Primary Responsibilities

• System Administration: Perform daily administration tasks, including system monitoring, job management, and device control for IBM iSeries servers.
• Performance & Security: Optimize system performance through tuning and maintenance. Implement and manage security protocols, user access, and auditing to protect data integrity.
• Backup & Recovery: Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery procedures, including disaster recovery planning.
• Software & Hardware Management: Install, configure, and maintain AS400 hardware, software, and networked devices. This includes applying PTFs, patches, and upgrades.
• Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshoot complex issues related to the AS400 system and its applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including developers, to support application deployments and resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience as an AS400 System Administrator in an enterprise environment.
• Strong proficiency in IBM iSeries operating systems (e.g., IBM i OS v10, POWER10).
• Expertise in backup and recovery processes, including experience with BRMS (Backup, Recovery, and Media Services) or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as RPG, RPGLE, and CL.
