Job summary

ApTask is seeking an experienced AS400 Technical Lead for critical enterprise applications in New York. You will lead development, perform BRE extraction, and mentor teams, while engaging with clients on design and estimation.

Strong expertise in IBM i, COBOL, RPGLE, and DB2/400 is required; legacy modernization and reverse engineering experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with AS400 and COBOL is mandatory.
• Experience with BRE extraction and Legacy Modernization is preferred.
• Experience in reverse engineering and business rules extraction is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and design solutions for enterprise AS400 applications.
• Lead development, reviews, and mentoring of development teams; interact with clients.
• Perform estimation and contribute to solution architecture and BRE extraction.

• We are seeking an experienced AS400 Technical Lead with strong expertise in IBM i (AS400 and COBOL, RPGLE , CL/CLLE,and DB2/400.The candidate will lead development, BRE extraction, STTM document preparation mission-critical enterprise applications.
• The role requires technical leadership, client interaction, solution design, estimation, code reviews, and mentoring of development teams.

Requirements

• Years of experience required: 8 + years of experience ( AS400 + COBOL Experience is mandatory
