Job summary

HealthFitness is hiring a Substitute/As-Needed Child Care Attendant at the Advocate Condell Centre Club in Libertyville, IL. You will supervise and engage children, ensure safety, and support parents with activities.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate play, reading, crafts, and maintaining clean toys. The role offers flexible hours based on demand and scheduling, with on-site work and opportunities to develop customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required within 45 days of hire.
• Knowledge and experience with young children preferred.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work quickly and accurately.
• Computer proficiency including Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Greeting parents and addressing the needs of the child.
• Planning activities and age-appropriate games.
• Observe and play with children.
• Ensure children are safe and engaged.
• Participate in activities: reading, painting, crafts.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
