Job summary

Producers Rice Mill in Stuttgart, Arkansas seeks a Computer Programmer/Analyst to write and update programs using RPG, CL, and SQL. The role requires knowledge of IBM i Power Systems, DB2, and Oracle 19c, with experience in EDI processing and API integrations.

You will gather business requirements, translate them into technical specs, and monitor system performance while ensuring reliable backups and secure user access management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent work history.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with IBM iSeries / AS400 and RPG programming.
• Proficiency in SQL, DB2, CL programming, report writers and change management tools (Aldon, Turnover).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Read, speak, write and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Write and update programs using RPG (RPG III/IV, ILE, Free Format, CL) and SQL.
• Handle OS updates, user access management, backups, and performance monitoring on IBM i Power Systems.
• Process EDI, APIs and DB2 interactions; troubleshoot job scheduling and runtime errors.
• Gather business requirements from users and write technical specifications.
