Job summary

Lambs Farm seeks a Studio and Performing Arts Instructor to lead visual and performing arts programs for adults with developmental disabilities. This role emphasizes creativity, compassion, and strong organizational skills to foster self-expression and life skills.

You will develop adaptable curricula, teach multiple classes, produce an annual musical, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver inclusive, high‑quality programming.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Arts Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, or related field.
• Minimum of one year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must complete Lambs Farm DSP program certification within 120 days of hire.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Proficiency with basic computer tools: typing, web navigation, data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, email.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement visual and performing arts curriculum for varied skill levels and accessibility.
• Produce an annual musical performance, overseeing set design, directing, costumes, and props; coordinate volunteers and venue.
• Teach a minimum of eight hours per week in visual and performing arts.
• Collaborate with Recreation staff and volunteers to align schedules and enhance participant experience.
• Document attendance, incidents, and program data; ensure safety protocols are followed.
