Friendship Community is seeking an Art Instructor to guide Artists in studio and community settings, developing themed lesson plans and mentoring artists to reach their goals.
You will work with a creative, dynamic team, sharing specialized art skills, and supporting Individuals with disabilities through engaging programs and activities.
Must have a valid driver's license and car insurance
The Art Instructor will instruct classes for Artists in an effort to support the Artists with their goals. Assist Artists in the studio through mentoring within an area of expertise and guide their art-making processes. This is a very rewarding position offering ample self-direction and opportunity for input. The Art Instructor will be a highly creative and dynamic team of community-focused staff working in an active art studio as well as in the community. The Art Instructor will have an opportunity to contribute on many levels to the growth of the program and the Artists.
The Art Instructor will work out of the East Oregon Studio in Lititz, PA and/or the Lancaster Studio.
Accountable to the Studio Manager. Responsible for creating lesson plans in alignment with Individual Support Plans. Work in a team setting to complete studio projects while sharing specialized art skills with Individuals.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to moderate. The TM may occasionally drive a company vehicle to go to a home for their required caseload or outside training opportunities.
