Job summary

gallupARTS in Gallup, NM seeks a Program Manager to lead gallery operations, community programming, grant projects, and communications. You will supervise a small team and volunteers, coordinate classes, events, and special programs, while maintaining strong relationships with artists, partners, funders, and the public.

The ideal candidate is community-oriented, highly organized, and able to balance strategic planning with hands-on implementation; a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years nonprofit arts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in arts, design, media, education, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience in nonprofit management, arts administration, program management, or related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with grant writing and reporting.
  • Experience coordinating events or gallery shows.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and financial reporting processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of three staff and volunteers to develop and implement programs.
  • Develop and manage annual exhibition schedule for ART123 Gallery.
  • Plan exhibitions, openings, artist talks, and related events.
  • Coordinate communications, marketing materials, and newsletters.
  • Maintain website, listings, and online presence.
  • Support grants and special projects with the Executive Director.
  • Track and report monthly organizational statistics.
