Job summary

Salvation Army’s Kroc Community Center in Norfolk, VA seeks an Arts & Education Manager to lead educational and arts programs for all ages, expanding music and arts offerings. You will supervise staff and secure funding opportunities to support programming.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Music, Performing Arts, or related field and 5–7 years of program development experience, with a valid driver’s license and harm certification. Full-time exempt position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Music, Performing Arts, or related field.
Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience developing and implementing programs, including management experience.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate arts and educational programming that supports departmental goals and objectives.
Direct and oversee educational, arts, youth, and adult programs while ensuring a safe, Christ-centered environment for participants.
Select, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, contractors, and direct reports responsible for department operations.
Assist with the development and management of departmental budgets, contracts, funding opportunities, and financial accountability.
