The Joan Mitchell Foundation is seeking a part-time Communications Assistant to support external and internal communications from New York City. The role focuses on social media post preparation, platform engagement, and creating written and visual materials that amplify the Foundation’s artists and programs.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will assist with web publishing, newsletters, media archiving, and press research while maintaining a flexible schedule in a collaborative

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Two years of professional experience in social media, marketing, or content-driven communications.
• Background in the arts or visual arts vocabulary preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Google Suite and web-based applications.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

• Draft social content and post captions for Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Assist with image processing and organize media files.
• Draft content in CMS and prepare newsletters and emails.
• Support press research and maintain coverage logs.
• Help with general Communications team administration.
