Job summary

Charles Penzone, Inc. is seeking hair artists for a structured training program in Ohio. Trainees will progress at their own pace, working behind the chair at BASE ONE and advancing through four levels (Stylist, Designer, Director, Senior Director) upon completion.

The program emphasizes hands-on and online training with room to accelerate. Recent graduates are welcome, with a flexible full-time schedule and base service pricing.

Qualifications

• Must have Ohio Cosmetology license or work permit.
• Previous salon experience welcomed but not required.
• Reliable transportation to PENZONE Salon + Spa locations.

We are looking for hair artists to take the next steps in their professional journey - all levels of experience are welcome! Our Hair Artists at PENZONE Salons + Spas will be able to advance through the training program at their own pace, mastering specific skills while working behind the chair at BASE ONE, our training concept salon + spa. Upon completion of the training program, artists will get their chair at a PENZONE Salons + Spas location. This program is new + innovative, allowing artists to get behind the chair, doing what they love, equipped with the knowledge + skillset necessary for success in the industry.

Filling final spots for 2026 + looking ahead to 2027!

Job Responsibilities

• Based on your confidence, experience + existing skill, your training program at PENZONE will be customized to support you.
• Artists will be working behind the chair at PENZONE x BASE ONE on guests paying base prices for services. Recent graduates needing additional support will start as an apprentice with a mentor in the PENZONE Salon + Spa locations.
• Hair Artists will complete learning modules with a combination of hands-on and online training. There is an opportunity to advance out of each module.
• Program can be completed in as little as 2 months, based on performance. If required, additional time is offered to assist our team members in mastering skills.
• Our Hair Artists are provided opportunities for promotion and advancement through our four levels (Stylist, Designer, Director + Senior Director) after completion of program.
