Job summary

Old Major Market in Indiana is seeking a Production Specialist to join our hands-on team. You will perform production and packaging tasks for sausages, bacon, and heat-and-eat entrees, while following recipes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a B.S. in business or related field is a plus.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely and regularly.
• Comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team objectives.
• Willingness to adapt to varied tasks and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on production tasks across all stages, including portioning, grinding, mixing, seasoning, linking, slicing, smoking, packaging.
• Ensure accurate, efficient, high-quality output following recipes and standards.
• Operate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot kitchen and food processing equipment.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency.
• Support other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
