Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking an Artisan Business Development Representative in a hybrid CA/OH role. You will identify and develop relationships with brokers and agents across assigned territory to drive new business, renewal retention, and premium growth.

You will conduct broker training via webinars, manage agency onboarding, and maintain a database of producers while monitoring market trends. This role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits within a dynamic insurance group.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field as required.
  • 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in area of specialization.
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business.
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with current and potential producers within assigned marketing region.
  • Market to brokers and agents to generate new business and grow gross written premium; pursue renewal retention.
  • Foster additional business opportunities through correspondence and trade shows.
  • Prospect and onboard new agency relationships; set new agency registration goals based on territory.
  • Conduct sales calls to nurture long-term client relationships and train brokers/agents via webinars and web conferences.
  • Maintain and grow existing blocks of business with brokers and agents; manage communications and resolve client issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain a database of current and prospective producers; monitor market trends and competitor pricing to adjust strategy.
  • Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies and materials; coordinate with other departments to ensure client service.

Develop a strong relationship with brokers and agents through phone and electronic communication and resolving client issues in a timely fashion.* Develop and maintain database of current and prospective producers.* Monitor competitor pricing and industry trends to identify marketplace characteristics.* Monitor producer quote ratio, close ratio, renewal persistency and loss ratio.
