Job summary

Bern’s Steak House in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Bread Baker to support the bakery of the kitchen. You will follow Bern’s standard recipes and help produce high-volume items while maintaining quality and consistency.

This role requires experience in a fast-paced restaurant bakery, ability to multitask, attention to safety and hygiene, and teamwork. High school diploma and at least 2 years baking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High-volume bakery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laminated doughs is a plus.
• Strong team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day bakery operations.
• Prepare breads and specialty items for Chef's request.
• Produce all baked goods including artisan breads, rolls, danish, croissants and doughnuts.
• Ensure high quality and consistency of products.
• Maintain proper handling and temperatures throughout shifts.
• Check ingredients and finished products meet standards.
• Report equipment problems and safety hazards promptly.
• Attend scheduled employee meetings.
