Job summary

Bozo in Bozeman, MT is hiring part-time Bakery Staff for the Co-op West Main location. Shifts are Friday and Saturday 5am-1pm; learn and apply Co-op baking methods to consistently produce and finish bread and desserts per schedule.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining quality, packaging items, and handling inventory while upholding GCC sanitation standards. Prior bakery experience is welcomed; lifting and standing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or related education that demonstrates ability to meet expectations.
• Experience in pastry baking and/or bread baking preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and produce food in large quantities.
• Flexible schedule required; some early morning, daytime, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts may be needed.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to bend and twist repeatedly; lift product overhead or climb ladders with product.

Responsibilities

• Follow shift flows and adopt Co-op baking methods and procedures to maintain consistency.
• Efficiently mix, shape, bake, and slice high-quality bread as directed and according to schedule.
• Prepare desserts and other items as directed and according to schedule.
• Ensure quality standards are met for all production.
• Package desserts, bread, and other items properly to maintain proper shelf life.
• Complete shift task checklists, inventory/waste, and invoice entry.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a sanitary, orderly condition meeting GCC Health Department standards.
• Use proper storage, product rotation, and labeling procedures.
• Document out-of-stock items following department procedures.
• Be responsible for quality and freshness control.
• Stock and cull retail bread display and prepare deliveries for other locations.
• Complete assigned weekly cleaning duties.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
