Qualifications

• Professional baking certificate from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and baking experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.
• Assist with production records including waste tracking and shortages and inform supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils in the work area.
• Handle food items safely and with all safety regulations during preparation and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation before leaving and keep display equipment clean.
• Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Follow sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment, adhering to corporate and OSHA standards.
