As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a key role in integrating AI into enterprise operations and developing AI-native products. You will own the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, partnering with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define solutions, and deliver production-grade systems. Beyond building AI agents, you will help establish reusable services and frameworks that enable scalable AI adoption across the organization.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, can translate business strategy into technical execution and enjoys influencing both technology direction and engineering culture. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong communication skills while helping shape best practices for enterprise AI development.

In addition to driving AI initiatives, you will mentor engineers and contribute to the technical standards, architecture and processes that support AI innovation across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI agents and agentic systems across internal platforms and business workflows.
• Lead discovery and solution design efforts by partnering directly with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Build and enhance core AI platform capabilities that support scalable agent development and orchestration.
• Apply context engineering principles including prompt design, memory management and retrieval strategies to create reliable AI solutions.
• Establish and maintain best practices for AI development, evaluation, monitoring and observability.
• Drive architecture and design decisions, balancing scalability, reliability, security and business risk.
• Design and implement benchmarking and evaluation frameworks to measure and continuously improve AI system performance.
• Translate organizational AI strategy into prioritized technical initiatives and deliverables.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers, helping elevate engineering standards across the organization.
• Produce clear technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, testing criteria and operational guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with progressive technical responsibility.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying applied AI solutions in production environments.
• Experience developing AI agents, agent frameworks, AI tooling, orchestration services or similar intelligent systems.
• Proven ability to build integrations, tools and services that leverage large language models.
• Deep understanding of context engineering, including prompt design, retrieval techniques, memory management and AI system optimization.
• Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders to identify opportunities and define technical solutions.
• Strong programming skills, with Python preferred.
• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, benchmarking methodologies, observability and production monitoring.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives from concept through delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical discussions, reviewing architecture, establishing engineering standards and mentoring team members.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
