Job summary

Artech L.L.C. is seeking a Software Engineer (Agentic AI) to design and develop Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs in a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC with relocation support to Des Moines, IA.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in backend Java development, hands-on Agentic AI experience or related agent frameworks, and collaborates with cross-functional teams in Agile ceremonies. This position involves CI/CD and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing Java/Spring Boot backend services.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with Oracle SQL.
• Hands-on exposure to Agentic AI technologies preferred, with agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain/LangGraph) acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Build and enhance Agentic AI workflows integrated with existing applications.
• Contribute to frontend development using Angular or React where required.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop unit tests and maintain code quality.
• Support cloud-native application development and CI/CD practices.
• Participate in production support and on-call activities as needed.

Core Technical Skills

Backend: Java (4+ years preferred for Software Engineers), Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Oracle SQL.

AI / Agentic AI

• Strong preference for candidates with hands‑on exposure to Agentic AI technologies, including:
• If candidates do not have Google ADK experience, hands‑on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, or similar AI agent‑building tools is acceptable, provided they demonstrate strong Agentic AI knowledge.
