Job summary

Fruition Group US is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a fast-growing space-industry team developing next-generation technology for spacecraft design, manufacturing and systems integration.

You will work at the intersection of AI/ML, automation and physical engineering, building hands-on systems with real-world impact and owning key components from concept to deployment. US citizenship is required.

Compensation includes base salary range of $140k–$175k plus equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in CS, ML/AI or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years' experience building advanced ML/AI systems.
• Strong experience with LLMs, agentic systems, reinforcement learning, transformers, vision or generative models.
• Strong Python experience, ideally with PyTorch.
• C++ and/or C# experience.
• Strong classical algorithm development skills.
• Experience working with complex technical or physical systems.
• Ability to balance model performance, simulation fidelity and real-world constraints.

Senior AI Engineer – Space Industry - US Citizen

An exciting opportunity has opened up with a fast-growing company in the space industry that is developing next-generation technology to transform how spacecraft are designed, built and manufactured.

The business is at an exciting stage of growth, bringing together AI, advanced manufacturing and spacecraft engineering to tackle some genuinely challenging problems — and is looking for a senior engineer to play a key role in building the technology behind it.

You’ll work at the intersection of AI/ML, automation and physical engineering, developing systems that can directly influence spacecraft design and manufacturing.

You’ll be involved in areas including:

• Foundation models and generative AI
• Reinforcement learning and self-supervised learning
• Algorithmic automation and generative design
• Simulation-aware geometry and engineering optimisation
• Agentic AI / VLM systems for technical engineering data
• Integrating AI with spacecraft simulation and CAD environments
• Hardware-in-the-loop systems and automated manufacturing

This is a hands-on senior engineering role where the work moves beyond research and into real-world hardware — with the opportunity to see your systems ultimately influence spacecraft that are built and flown.

What we're looking for
