Job summary

T.E. Stevens Construction, based in Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Articulated Dump Truck Driver B to move materials on construction sites with minimal supervision. You will operate an ADT, maintain production, and coordinate with excavators and ground crews to ensure smooth jobsite flow.

Required are experience with heavy equipment, a valid license, and strong safety awareness. This full-time, non-exempt role offers hourly pay and on-site work at various project sites.

Qualifications

• Moderate experience operating articulated dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good understanding of construction site safety and equipment awareness
• Ability to communicate clearly with operators and ground personnel
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong safety awareness and judgment
• Understanding of efficient haul operations and site flow
• Ability to operate in wet, muddy, or rough terrain
• Dependability and consistent performance
• Good equipment care and inspection habits

Responsibilities

• Operate an articulated dump truck safely and efficiently in earthwork and utility operations
• Maintain steady production and efficient cycle times between cut and fill areas
• Coordinate effectively with excavator operators, loaders, and spotters
• Navigate haul roads, slopes, and uneven terrain with good judgment
• Follow proper dumping procedures to maintain grade and site organization
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues
• Keep equipment clean and fueled
• Follow all site safety rules, traffic patterns, and communication protocols
• Assist with general site tasks when hauling operations are paused
