Job summary

Centre for Neuro Skills in Emeryville, CA is seeking an Art Therapist to support patients recovering from brain injury through therapeutic art activities; full-time, part-time or PRN positions available and work spans clinic, residential site, and community settings.

Required: Bachelor's in Art, Art Therapy, Counseling, or healthcare-related field; 2–5 years of related experience; certifications in Recreational Therapy and Art Therapy preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Art Therapy, Counseling, or healthcare-related field is required.
• Masters in Art Therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop programs with measurable goals.
• Organize and facilitate individual and group art programs for patients.
• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions based on patients’ needs.
• Locate and stay current on clinical and community resources to enhance programs.
• Develop individualized home and community plans for residents.
