Job summary

Area23 in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead creative execution across campaigns, developing on-brand materials from ideation through final production. You’ll align with strategy, client references, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with copy and data teams to refine work, mentor juniors, and manage timelines. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in Visual Communications or related field are required; strong Adobe Creative Suite skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Art and Design or related field.
• 4+ years in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Art Direction and Design or related field.
• Pharmaceutical/Healthcare advertising experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development of innovative, creative design from ideation through final product that are on-brand strategy, on deadline, and on budget.
• Displays understanding of audience needs and targets designs and creative styles to appropriately meet them.
• Creates layouts in sketch and/or digital formats for assigned projects that are complementary to tone and style of copy.
• Partners with copy in analyzing data from clinical studies and published papers for design opportunities on strategy.
• Adheres to legal, medical, regulatory pharma, and brand guidelines and client-specific rules.
• Participates in the presentation of creative work to internal teams and clients.
• Demonstrates effectiveness across multiple projects and brands.
