Job summary

Blick Art Materials, LLC is seeking a Retail Store Sales Associate in the Washington, DC area to assist customers with product knowledge, sales, and custom services. The role includes signing, pricing, POS operations, merchandising, and loss prevention while upholding company policies.

Responsibilities include delivering superior customer service, participating in Blick training programs, and supporting the Custom Services desk with appointments and orders.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Experience delivering superior customer service at a retail level.
• Knowledge of traditional fine art mediums (paints, markers, pencils, printmaking, clay, papers) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior customer service by combining sales, product knowledge, and training to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Utilize Blick onboarding and sales training programs and handle custom services orders.
• Assist at the Custom Services desk with appointments, consultations, orders, and delivery of completed services items.
• Maintain a positive attitude in all customer interactions and support merchandising and store standards.
• Follow procedures for stock reporting, inventory discrepancies, and customer product requests.
