Job summary

Mercer University is seeking a Lab Assistant - Art to support the Art Department as part of a Student Work Study program. Hourly wage is $10 with scheduled hours of 8 per week and a start date of 08/28/2026 through 05/08/2027. Supervising staff is Allie Hodges; department is Art.

Qualifications

• Authority to apply granted by Art Department.

Responsibilities

• Empty the dehumidifier and ensure it runs continuously.
• Plug in all mice to charge.
• Maintain inventory of inks for all printers (stock, prep orders, document current inventory).
• Operate printers to assist students in ART/GRA printing projects.
• Operate the laser cutter for ART/GRA production (no use for other purposes).
• Assist with keeping the space clean and organizing items, disinfecting surfaces.
