Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking part-time faculty to teach General Education Pathway courses at MATC campuses or online in day, evening, or weekend sessions. The role requires a Master’s in Fine Arts or related field and a second Master’s with 18 graduate credits, plus demonstrated Standards of Teaching Excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a Fine Arts discipline (Art, Design, Art History, Film) required.
• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate coursework credits in a Fine Arts discipline.
• Embrace MATC Standards of Teaching Excellence in instruction delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and teaching-related activities.
• Manage the classroom and laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor its effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
• Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
• Assess student performance and advise on academic issues.
• Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
• Support student organizations and activities.
• Maintain certification and stay current in the field.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
