Madera Community College Center invites applications for an Art Instructor (Part-Time Faculty Pool). This pool is open until filled; start dates may vary and assignments may include evenings, weekends, online or off-campus formats.
The successful candidate will teach developmental and transfer art courses, use a variety of pedagogies and technology, communicate effectively with students, and maintain syllabi and records in keeping with District policy.

The ideal candidate will share the Madera Community College Center’s commitment to educating its racially and socioeconomically diverse student population. As of Fall 2017, we currently enroll over 5,000 students of which 66% are Latinx, 1% are Filipino, 6% are Asian, 3% are Black/African American, 19% are White, 1% American Indian/Alaska Native, and 3% are multiracial. The successful candidate will join a department dedicated to the use of curriculum responsive to the students it serves.
Providing instruction in Art in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, on-line or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed, the instructor will be responsible for:

( NOTE : "Master's in fine arts" as used here refers to any master's degree in the subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; and also art education and art therapy. It does not refer to the "Master of Fine Arts" ( MFA ) degree when that degree is based on specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing or other non-plastic arts.)
Starting 38.67 - $52.55 for lab, and $38.30 - $52.05 for non-instructional. Sick leave accrual is based on assignment hours.
