The position requires 1+ year of art teaching experience, 21+ years of age, and completion of CPR/First Aid/AED and child abuse prevention within 90 days of hire. Hours include weekday evenings and weekends, with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse prevention training within 90 days of hire.
• Proven experience teaching at least one specialty topic within art (e.g., painting, pottery, mixed media).
• At least 1 year experience teaching art classes.

Responsibilities

• Keep classroom in order and safe, and ensure health and well-being of participants.
• Manage classroom activities and provide close supervision.
• Create an engaging atmosphere where participants have fun, learn, and stay safe.
• Maintain accurate program documentation (attendance, sign-in/out, incidents).
• Communicate with caregivers and supervisor about lesson plans and progress.
• Coordinate with staff and other departments for smooth operations.
