Job summary

Filling Homes Trinity Place in Bryan, Ohio, is seeking a Full Time Art Facilitator with a passion for the creative arts to lead and support participants in our community-based art program. The role involves designing and delivering art activities, and guiding individuals in exploring their creativity within a supportive day program environment.

Responsibilities include one-on-one and small group art instruction, utilizing adaptive equipment, and helping participants build skills and community

Qualifications

• A Degree in fine art or a minimum of two years of experience in applied Fine Arts.
• Demonstrated ability to teach art to others and relate well with people with disabilities.
• Willingness to work with community members and businesses to develop community connections for artists.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in teams.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Full Time Art Facilitator – Filling Homes Trinity PlaceFilling Homes is a social ministry that provides a full range of services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Trinity Place is a community based art program and adult day program in Bryan, Ohio. We are currently seeking a creative and energetic person with a background in the creative arts who also has a commitment to providing quality life experiences for people with disabilities.Join Our Team – and make a difference in the lives of others!Responsibilities:Assist in the design and implementation of creative art activities that meet the needs of the persons that are enrolled in our day program.Provide one-one-one and small group instruction in a variety of creative art mediums at the studio.Assist participants to discover their art interests and abilities.Utilize technology and adaptive equipment to support and enhance the creativity of the artists and increase independence of each person.Assist as needed in meeting the personal needs and daily living skills of individuals receiving art services.Helping artists envision new projects and assisting in learning new techniques.Assist with creating community connections for the artists to share their art in the communityThis is a 40 hours per week position.
