Job summary

Evergreen Life Services is seeking an Art Assistant to implement art projects and provide direct support to people served. You will help plan and execute art activities, teach hands-on techniques, and ensure a welcoming, creative environment.

Ideal candidates will be able to learn various art forms, collaborate with staff, and maintain accurate documentation. A good attitude, reliability, and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends are important.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; art training or coursework preferred.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills (log in/out, input data).
• Experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement art projects and designs for individuals served.
• Provide direct support and encourage creativity in activities.
• Plan and execute art, design and other visual elements.
• Teach hands-on activities and demonstrations.
• Maintain documentation as required by state agencies and policies.
• Assist individuals with goals outlined in care plans.
• Identify potential behavior triggers and respond appropriately.
• Administer medication as needed (as trained).
