We're an independent production team ramping up for an exciting, fast-paced web series and need a seasoned Art Director to join our crew. This project is a quirky, character-driven comedy with a touch of surrealism, exploring the absurdities of daily life in a fictional small town. We're looking for someone who can bring a vibrant, slightly off-kilter visual style to life, enhancing the humor and unique tone of the series. As Art Director, you'll be responsible for designing and overseeing all visual elements, including set dressing, props, and overall aesthetic. Key tasks involve collaborating closely with the director to realize their vision, sourcing and managing props and set pieces, leading a small art team, and maintaining continuity across episodes. Experience with independent productions and adapting to resource constraints creatively is a must. Please have a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your art direction work, especially in comedy or projects with a distinct visual voice. You should be comfortable working on location in Austin, TX, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Prep will begin in early November 2026, leading into principal photography around mid November 2026. We anticipate about 10-12 shoot days over 2-3 weeks, with some days being half-days. Compensation is $100-200 per day, depending on experience. We'll provide a modest budget for materials and props.
