Job summary

EAB is seeking an Art Director (Temporary) for Advancement Marketing Services. The role directs art and visual elements for direct marketing across higher-education clients, including mail, digital ads, emails, and landing pages.

Reports to the Associate Director of Art Direction and collaborates with copywriters and digital teams. The position may be based in Richmond or Washington, D.C., and is a 6-month temporary assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2 years of work experience in marketing or advertising environment.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and web design basics.
• Experience creating HTML emails and familiarity with CSS.
• Strong organizational and deadline-driven work style.

Responsibilities

• Research and understand assigned client history and branding.
• Integrate client brand in art and direct marketing materials.
• Optimize client response rates with proven direct marketing tactics.
• Build emails and landing pages using HTML and CSS.
• Work within marketing automation to build templates and web experiences.
• Use CMS to format content and configure functionality.
• Collaborate with teams to create campaigns and meet deadlines.
• Prioritize and deliver work per deadlines.
• Maintain files of creative reference materials.
• Participate in client discovery and rediscovery discussions.
