About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Art Director to lead the artistic vision and execution for their upcoming projects in Welkom. This critical role within the Arts & Entertainment industry involves defining the visual style, guiding the art team, and ensuring the aesthetic coherence and quality across all visual elements. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a unique and compelling visual identity that resonates with target audiences and elevates the overall production value. This is a leadership opportunity to shape the visual destiny of impactful creative works.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the overall artistic vision and style guide for projects.


• Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of artists, including concept artists, modelers, texture artists, and animators.


• Oversee the creation of all visual assets, ensuring adherence to the established art direction and quality standards.


• Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and other stakeholders to align visual goals with project objectives.


• Develop and maintain the art pipeline, tools, and workflows to optimize efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in art creation and leadership within the Arts & Entertainment sector, with a proven track record of successfully directing visual projects.


• Exceptional understanding of art principles, including composition, color theory, lighting, and form.


• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire creative teams in a fast-paced production environment.


• Strong proficiency with industry-standard art software and familiarity with various game engines or animation software.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex visual concepts effectively in Welkom.
