Role Overview
We're looking for a seasoned, concept-driven Art Director who brings big ideas, a strong visual voice, and the confidence to lead creative from first sketch to final delivery. You'll own the visual direction of campaigns across digital, broadcast, branding, and print, partnering closely with copywriters, strategists, account teams, and clients to develop breakthrough work that aligns with strategy, inspires audiences, and drives results.
This role is ideal for an experienced art director who thrives on leading concepts, elevating the work of others, and serving as a trusted creative voice with clients.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead concept development and campaign ideation across digital and traditional media, from strategic brief through execution
- Set and maintain the visual direction for multiple client brands, ensuring consistency and quality across every touchpoint
- Develop brand identities, visual systems, and brand guidelines
- Direct and create motion graphics and 2D/3D animation (Animate, After Effects, Figma/Bannerify)
- Oversee layout design and digital production from concept to publishing (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma)
- Lead storyboarding and visual development for broadcast, video, and social content
- Art direct photo and video shoots, and partner with photographers, illustrators, and production vendors
- Present creative concepts and rationale to clients with clarity and confidence
- Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior designers and art directors
- Lead and participate in creative reviews, holding work to a high standard of craft
- Manage production timelines and file preparation for digital and print media, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
- Contribute to internal culture through creative leadership, collaboration, and passion for great work
- Stay current on trends in design, advertising, AI, and emerging technology, and bring fresh thinking to the team
Support Duties
- Attend and help lead internal status meetings and creative reviews
- Play an active role in new business efforts by developing creative concepts and presenting in pitches
- Work a minimum of three days in the office per week for the full working day
Required Skills and Knowledge
- At least 3 years of experience as an Art Director, with 5 or more years of overall design experience; agency experience strongly preferred
- A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, campaign work, and executional craft across digital and traditional media
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with working knowledge of Canva and Google platforms
- Proven experience with motion graphics and animation
- Experience presenting to and building relationships with clients
- Experience mentoring or directing the work of other designers
- Bachelor's degree in Art Direction, Graphic Design, or a related field
