Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and support the imaging service line. You will ensure high-quality results, proper patient identification, and adherence to safety guidelines in a fast-paced setting.

You will maintain competency, assist students and staff, educate patients, and document procedures while upholding infection control and quality standards across imaging modalities.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• State Radiologic Technologist license where applicable.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• 1–2 years radiology experience preferred.
• May need Medical Assistant competency in some clinics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs on protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques; keeps accurate records.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
