Job summary

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from ABA-approved school required.
• License to practice law in Michigan.
• 2 years’ experience in criminal law.
• Knowledge of Michigan Court Rules and statutory law.
• Ability to evaluate strength of prosecution’s case.

Responsibilities

• Appear at felony and misdemeanor arraignments and recommend pretrial release conditions.
• Review police file and confer with Officer-in-Charge and defense counsel.
• Formulate recommendations to the Court for pretrial release under Michigan law.
• Maintain records of bond recommendations and decisions in arraignment cases.
