Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Washington is seeking an ARNP to join the Hospice program. You will provide patient care in collaboration with physicians, including assessment, symptom management and follow-up for terminally ill patients.

You will prescribe medications, develop treatment plans with the Hospice Medical Director, and support patients across routine, inpatient, respite and continuous care settings, while maintaining WA licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as ARNP required.
• Certification in Hospice, Family Medicine or Palliative Care preferred.
• Licensed in the state of WA by time of employment and current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform face-to-face assessment screenings on Hospice patients based on Medicare Hospice eligibility criteria.
• Prescribes medication doses, routes and frequencies based on patient assessments.
• Actively manages Hospice patients at Routine, General inpatient, Respite and Continuous Care levels with Hospice Medical Director.
• Develops treatment plans based on scientific rationale and standards of care.
