Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking an ARNP for Hospice care. The position offers 1.0 FTE with 4 ten-hour shifts, primarily weekdays with on-call. The role involves direct patient assessment, medication management and collaboration with the Hospice Medical Director.

Requires WA licensure by start date, DEA/NPI, prescriptive authority and current BLS certification. Competitive benefits and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Master's degree as ARNP required.
• Certified in Hospice, Family Medicine or Palliative Care.
• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Licensed in the state of WA by time of employment.
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform face to face assessment screenings on Hospice patients based on Medicare Hospice eligibility criteria.
• Prescribes medication doses, routes and frequencies based on individual patient assessments.
• Actively manages Hospice patients at every level of care in collaboration with Hospice Medical Director.
• Develops treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care and professional practice guidelines.
