Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Facilities Construction Manager to support the 81st U.S. Army Reserve Directorate of Public Works in Columbia, SC.

This role focuses on construction management, field coordination, contractor oversight, and documentation to support Army Reserve facilities. Ideal candidates bring experience in construction management, field supervision, and coordination with government stakeholders, with travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing field construction activities, contractor performance, quality control, or infrastructure-related work.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and engineering documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; willing to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management and field coordination across planning, assessment, and execution phases of Army Reserve facilities projects.
• Support Asset Development Planning (ADP), Master Planning initiatives, and regional forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with government personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders to support successful project execution.
• Review construction documents for alignment with project requirements, Army standards, UFC, applicable codes, and field conditions; travel as needed.
