Job summary

Army National Guard seeks a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. You will inspect, service, maintain, repair and test systems, including electrical components and wiring harnesses.

Through this role you’ll gain skills for civilian careers in service stations, auto dealers, and other equipment sectors while earning a regular paycheck during training and drill periods.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles associated trailers and material handling equipment systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems.
