Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO), an Akima company, is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to support Army equipment turn-in operations. You will handle receiving, storage, documentation, and distribution, ensuring compliance with Army regulations, ISO standards, and safety requirements.

The role supports supply technicians and supervisors, maintains accurate inventory, operates forklifts and MHE, and participates in audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of Army supply regulations AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-21.
• Experience with Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, LMP, DPAS) and material handling safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and process Army documentation (DA and DD forms).
• Pre-employment drug test and background screening required.
• Ability to obtain CAC and REAL ID-compliant driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify equipment and materiel from Army units.
• Check turn-in documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in inspection and condition coding before storage or disposition.
• Coordinate staging and movement of items into warehouse or yard areas.
• Store and organize items in warehouse locations per regulations.
• Perform location surveys and cyclic inventories.
• Maintain segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, HAZMAT, and sensitive items.
• Support audits and PARs.
