Qualifications

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school.
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
• Eligibility for board certification.
• Completion of at least one year of approved graduate medical education internship.
• Between 21 and 42 years of age.
• U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat localized ailments and diseases.
• Conduct and supervise direct patient care.
• Execute disease prevention and health programs.
• Command medical units and conduct medical research.
• Participate in medical education and training.
