Job summary

U.S. Army Medical Corps seeks an Internal Medicine Physician to diagnose and treat patients, supervise direct care, lead disease prevention programs, and command medical units. The role includes clinical leadership, research, and education within a military health system.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO, have a current U.S. license, and be eligible for board certification, with completion of an approved internship. Citizenship is required and opportunities for leadership training are available.

Qualifications

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy.
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.
• Eligibility for board certification.
• Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat localized ailments and diseases.
• Conduct and supervise direct patient care.
• Execute disease prevention and health programs.
• Command medical units and perform staff functions in health support.
• Conduct medical research on diseases of military importance and participate in medical education and training.
