Job summary

Absolute International Security in Crenshaw, CA, is seeking an Armed Transit Security Guard to maintain a safe environment for clients, employees, visitors and property. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires strong communication, a neat appearance, and the ability to work varied shifts including day and swing schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and client requirements
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks
• Outdoor work in varied weather conditions
• Reliable transportation
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards

Responsibilities

• Act as a visible deterrent to prevent violations or unsafe behavior
• Perform armed patrols of assigned areas including train platforms and lots
• Board and ride train lines to transition between platforms
• Monitor entrances and departures of employees, visitors, and vehicles
• Control access points and maintain visitor/vendor logs; observe and report hazards or policy violations
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies promptly
• Assist in evacuations and coordinate with law enforcement as needed
• Maintain professional appearance and equipment in compliance with standards
• Follow post orders and site protocols
