Job summary

Absolute International Security is seeking an unarmed transit security guard to maintain safety on our Southern California routes and facilities. You will perform regular patrols, monitor access points, and provide a visible security presence for riders, staff, and property.

The role emphasizes a customer-service demeanor, neat appearance, and the ability to respond to incidents while following post orders and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication, customer service, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to stand, walk long periods, and perform physical tasks.
• Outdoor work in varied weather; reliable transportation required.
• Must maintain professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Cal/Guard Card, CPR/First Aid/AED, Pepper Spray and Baton permits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visible deterrent and deter rule violations or unsafe behavior.
• Perform routine foot patrols of assigned areas including platforms and lots.
• Monitor entrances/exits and log visitors and vendors.
• Control access points and maintain logs and records.
• Observe, report and document incidents, hazards, or policy violations.
• Prepare clear incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients via radio or phone.
• Respond to alarms and incidents; assist in evacuations and emergencies.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
