Job summary

Allied Universal® in Denver, CO, is seeking an Armed Security Officer – Transit Platform. You will safeguard passengers, employees, and visitors at a government transit location with professional presence and customer service. The role requires armed duties, patrols, and detailed reporting to ensure safety and policy compliance.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour. Schedule: Mon–Sun 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Qualifications

Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transit locations.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, facilities, and other assigned locations to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel, emergency services, and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
Maintain authorized firearms and other assigned equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through detailed reports and promptly communicate security-related concerns to designated personnel.
