Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure safety.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises.
• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Document and report incidents accurately using company protocols.
• Inspect the premises for risks or violations and report findings.
• Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current armed security licensure in Texas.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Remain calm and function independently in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Level 2 and Level 3 Security License in Texas (or eligibility to obtain).
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, Military (specifically as military police MOS), or related fields preferred.
• Possess a 4-year criminal justice degree preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• 3 years' experience as an unarmed security officer or previous armed security experience.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments with professionalism.
• Pass a background check.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment

• Primary location at one of our stores in Texas.
