Job summary

Midwest Security Forces, LLC is seeking an experienced Armed Security Officer for a residential environment in Hammond, Indiana. The role requires prior armed security, law enforcement, or military experience and involves providing attentive on-site security, customer service, and rapid response to incidents.

The ideal candidate will have strong observational skills, the ability to read and write detailed reports, and excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• At least a high school education or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Armed Security Officer experience required. Police experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
• Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
• Must possess valid IL PERC Card
• Must possess valid IL FOID Card
• Must have completed IL 40-hour Firearms Training
• Must have your own approved firearm and appropriate holster

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to clients staff, residents, and visitors.
• Secure the premises and establish a friendly on-site presence.
• Observe, survey, and report activities at the assigned site.
• Remain vigilant and proactively identify security concerns.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to critical situations.
• Enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a customer-service oriented approach.
• Pay close attention to detail in all tasks.
• Stand for long periods of time as needed.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Work within a structured team environment.
• Maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance
