Strategic Security (SSC) is seeking an Armed Security Guard to protect people, property, and assets in Decatur, GA. The role requires an armed presence, strict adherence to post orders and laws, and a proven track record in security operations.

The position supports the SSC principle of professional, vigilant service. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor systems, control access points, and file detailed incident reports while maintaining composure and authority on site.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of armed security experience required.
• Prior armed security experience is mandatory.
• Must successfully complete and pass a polygraph examination.

Responsibilities

• Conduct armed security patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Maintain lawful possession and safe handling of the firearm.
• Observe, deter, and respond to criminal activity, threats, or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Control access and egress points and verify authorized entry.
• Identify and address safety hazards or irregular conditions.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents per use‑of‑force policy.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and preserve evidence when needed.
• Maintain a professional post presence.
